This is the camera that I will be getting, the
Panasonic DMC-FZ3. You will see links to user reviews, the website review, as well as sample pictures. It is only a 3mp camera but has a huge 12x optical zoom WITH image stabilization which is crucial if not using a tripod. This is also a fairly compact camera. If this doesn't interest you, then look at the other Panasonic FZ series cameras...even the older FZ10 (which is bulkier but a proven performer). Of course, the more megapixels, the higher the cost in this series.
