Awhile ago, some of you may recall that I was upgrading my bedroom system. I contemplated whether or not to get the M22's or the M3's. I was on a budget, so I wanted to get the M3's. However, since I like my M60's so much, JohnK suggested that I go with the M22's since they are the most similar sounding to the M60's. I took his suggestion.

First, however, I came across an excellent deal on a used pair of Ascend Acoustics CBM-170's. My curiousity on these speakers have been high ever since I've heard about them (which was before Axiom!) so of course I had to have them. I've been listening to them for about a month now.

Still, I just couldn't stand NOT knowing what the M22's would sound like as well. So on a whim, I recently bid on a pair of M22's and won them! I just received them last night and tonight I thoroughly listened to both sets of speakers.

So here I was trying to get away with saving money by originally wanting the M3's and now I'm WAY over budget! Also, the guy who sold me the M22's got me thinking that I should try Fluance or Athena as well...and I seriously thought about buying them! Sheesh...something is wrong with me! With this train of thought, I'll certainly end up homeless, but have a lot of great speakers to show for it!

So now I've got two pair of wonderful speakers, but I'm going to have to sell one pair (maybe ). If anyone cares, I can give you my personal thoughts on both sets of speakers although it will be difficult as I'm NOT an expert on describing sound! One thing I can tell you for certain though is that I can definitely tell the difference between the two.
