The main difference between M50 and M60 is in the midrange, not really much different in terms of appropriate room size. The M60 is relatively more "forward" compared to the M50. I ended up with M60s before I really understood the difference... just listened to some M3s a week or so ago and still wondering if I would have preferred the M50s.

Anyways, choose between 50s and 60s based on things like the kind of music you listen to, your preference for "bright/airy/forward" vs. "relaxed, smooth", budget, stuff like that. I have not had a chance to compare 50s vs 60s but apparently the difference is fairly small. I did get a chance to compare M2 vs. M3 and I guess my first thought re: the midrange difference was "gee, is that all ?".
