I just recabled and upgraded my 7.2 Home Theater system yesterday, by adding a beautiful Anthem PVA-5, 5 channel amp to my system and swapping out the Toshiba SD9200 DVD Audio player for the Philips SACD 1000 SACD player. So, the system is like this -
Philips SACD 1000
Onkyo 797 for preamp/processor
Outlaw ICBM bass management unit
Anthem PVA-5 (5 channel amp)
Kenwood KA9100 (2 channel amp for channels 6+7)
Michaura M665 towers front L/R (like M60s)
Klipsch KLF-7 center
Michaura M66 side surrounds (like M50s)
Mission 77ds back surrounds
Klipsch LF10 sub
Velodyne CT100 sub (subs from stereo sub outs in Outlaw)
Anyway, took all day to rewire the system, and I was full of great anticipation when I powered it up. Hit the power button on the gorgeous Anthem PVA-5 amp when I saw a great purple lightning bolt from inside the Anthem, and a really loud quantum POP, a wisp of white smoke and a silence as profound as deep space. They can't hear you scream in space, you know.
Hoping Anthem customer service is on par with Axiom!

My cordial condolences go to your Anthem... But hey, it was Good Friday, huh? I am sure it will be back up-and-running tomorrow!
By the way, where are those Michaura and Merak speakers available???

My sympathies.
Perhaps by religious will it may be resurrected by/on Sunday.

Yeah, a cave with a big rolling door made of audiophile-grade stone to secure the place... it will, it will...

Counsellor, just as(being of Ukrainian ancestry)I'll be saying Christos Voskres tomorrow, I'll likewise say a prayer at Mass for your Anthem.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Funny thing is that I think there's a spectral image of the Anthem on the packing material, the Shroud, the Shroud...
Happy holidays all, but the Anthem is still dead.

Just spoke with the good folks at Synergy Audio Video in Orange, CA, and told them about the light show. They were terrific, said it was the first defective Anthem they'd heard of, told me to bring it by and that they were ordering me a new one. Seem to be a very nice bunch of folks over there.
