Rush - Vapor Trails would be one.

My shures & grados remind me this a bad recording, but on the Axioms it's just plain horrible... at one point I checked the cables since the guy's voice sounded like it does when my headphones are only plugged in halfway.

Whoever masters this stuff should be fired. More fuel to the "metal/rock is badly mastered" fire.

Have you ever questioned wheather your hifi was working properly up due to a bad recording before?

Pretty much anything by Offspring. Wanna know how bad your speakers can sound? Just pop in one of their cds. Sound is completely flat, one dimensional, and the sound seems like it never gets past the front plane of the speaker. I can put up with a lot of bad recordings, but Offspring is strictly kept for the car.

I was disapointed in Bruce Hornsby's old album 'The Way it is".

So many other crappy recordings to choose from thou.

I’m pretty disappointed with the new Audioslave CD. The first was great; this one has me scratching my head. Not bad music, but the recording is not on par with their last CD.

Satellite music will often make me want to check out connections. It was so bad tonight; I couldn’t listen to it for simple background music.

Meatloaf - Bat Out of Hell.

Fun music, but IMHO, poorly recorded.
Sounded like crap on my old system, even worse on my Axioms.

I remember seeing a remastered SONY audiofile CD (Mastersound or something) of this and was wondering if I should pick it up.

I'll have to see what they sound like live; going to see them at Casino-Rama next week.
