What pre/pro or receiver are you using? Does it have a direct mode? Do you have a sub?

I am using the Yamaha RX-V2600. it is very similar to RX-V2500 except the video up conversion. I don't have a sub and surround speakers.

60's very accurately reproduce recordings. Neutral. I use pure direct (which shuts off video and center, surrounds and sub) for CDs. Your settings of large and small are correct.
Good listening!

I have to add that an old college roommate who is a pianist (performing and teaching) recommended some CDs for Bach organ music. For these I use the sub. It is unbelieveable!
