Could anyone tell me why the factory outlet has a long waiting time? and what speakers do they offer, (returns)?
Thanks,
John

I do believe Axiom offers every speaker they build in the factory outlet store, I don't know what determines the wait period but I can only assume it's due to current and predicted inventory.

not returns, not reburbished
technically exactly the same as the regular stock
same warranty
Axiom has a very picky quality control process, so once a speaker comes off the line it is inspected for any minor cosmetic blemishes. If there are any small nicks or blemishes the speaker gets sold in the Factory Outlet.
The reason why there are longer wait times is because their quality is so HIGH, the don't have many of these issues.
I can tell you this, I did a poll once to see how many people buy from the Factory Outlet versus regular stock, if I recall correctly over 70% of the people by all or part of their system from the FO.
I think I can speak for most of the people that have in that, even if you do buy from the Factory Outlet, you most likely will not be able to find anything wrong. I bought all of my speakers through the FO, and have looked over every square inch and can't find any blemishes/nicks anywhere.
As I've mentioned to you on your other posts, you get 10% off on all FO speakers, plus if you buy 5 or more you get 5% more. The 5% is also given if you buy 5 or more from regular stock.
If you read the FO page, it explains what FO speakers are all about, below is from that page.
"Axiom Audio products go through a very extensive and demanding Quality Control process. Even the slightest blemish or element that may not even be noticable to the eye can cause the product to be unacceptable as a first. While our manufacturing facilities and processes are of the highest quality and reliability...the fact is that a few of our speakers just don't make it through our rigorous quality / appearance acceptance criteria.
This creates an incredible value opportunity for customers who are not stuck on absolute cosmetic perfection.
The products offered here may have a slight blemish, but they are absolutely PERFECT in every other aspect of their sound performance ---- they have absolutely no operational problems or sound performance issues, and come with the same 30-day Money-Back Guarantee and 5-Year Warranty (1-Year for powered subwoofers) as our regular products."
"Based on our upcoming production schedules and our current order backlog for Factory Seconds, the "wait time" below lists when you should expect delivery on the model of your choice. Click to pre-order and you're guaranteed the product of your choice! Your credit card is charged at the time of ordering to reserve your speakers, and multiple-piece orders are shipped when everything is ready, unless you contact us to arrange differently. "
Good luck and enjoy the sound.

Well here is another question, I have allready placed an order for NEW stock and not from the factory outlet, do you think I can ask them to stop and return shipment or refuse so I may reorder from the factory outlet? I don't want to be a pain in the ass about this either. The difference is about $326.
Not sure what to do.
John

Well I called and asked if they could stop and return shipment so I can reorder from the factory outlet and Axiom told me that they would try and they will call me and let me know and/or asked them if they could credit my amex account the difference in cost ($325) they told me that they would look into that to avoid re shipment of a new order.
It dosent hurt to ask .

In my experience and estimation the Axiom folks are absolutely some of the finest customer oriented people I have ever dealt with. Good luck!

When did you place your order? Normally, you get it two days later, fed ex express delivery, it may have already shipped.

Also, understand when ordering from the FO, you get your merchandise on whatever item has the longest lead time. So for example, if one speaker has an 8wk lead time at the time of order, and the others only have 4wks, you will get everything closer to the 8wk time period.
If you don't mind waiting and are not in a hurry to hear this awesome sound, go for it...if it is not to late..

Actually Randy it is calculated as longest wait plus shortest wait divided by two.

I just got my m60's Friday, when I ordered, the form said a 4 week wait. When I got my confermation E-mail it said 2 weeks, so I called Axiom and asked if it was gonna be 2 or 4 weeks. To my surprise they said my speakers would ship on Tue. only a 9 day wait. Thats customer service! The speakers also looked brand new with no marks or blemishes.

After all the FO praise, I decided to try it. The QS 8's had a 12 week wait while everything else had a 3-6 week wait. I asked to change the order on the QS8's to 'regular' to get my order quicker (what the hell, it was only $50 more). Noreen changed my order and now I'm set to get them Feb 1. From a 12 week wait to four weeks. Not bad.........Just 23 days to go. But I'm not counting.
