Hi,
I'm planning on buying a 5.1 speaker set but have no idea where to position the speakers. I only have a small room and I guess it's set out in a slightly odd way but unfortunately due to 3 walls being taking up with doors and windows it's really the only way for it to go.
Here's a (very bad!) drawing of it.
I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me some tips and as to where the speakers should go.
Many thanks.

Good enough
I would move the TV inbetween where the bookcase and the cupboard are. You can set up your m60's or whatever there, somewhat close together, then your surrounds nice and wide out.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Dan. It might be difficult to get good seperation with your main left/right speakers where the TV sits now. Do you have some flexibility to move the tv over a bit between the bookcase and cupboard? Also, how big is your room. Is there a basement below that room so you could run some wires for your surrounds under the floor back to the back wall by the sofa?
