Just found one of my old time favorites, Lawerence of Arabia in suberbit from Best Buy for 9.99. Haven't seen it other than on VHS, should be fun watching on DVD with DTS

and just think, every $25 you spent on an unwatched movie could have been earning interest in a bank account, instead.
I don't get this whole delayed gratification thing. Me buy, me use day of arrival.

I'm just working towards amassing my empire (insert evil laugh).
I don't know what an empire of unwatched DVDs will get me. . .but at least I have an empire!

In reply to:
Does anyone have the Indiana Jones box set in widescreen. I am planning to get that this week. any thoughts on it???
I do. I can give it a thumbs up. IMO they did an excellent job with this set. The video is excellent. Looks like a very clean/restored transfer. The audio is good too, nothing groundbreaking but worthy.

I dunno, the beginning of Raiders really makes it feel like you're in the jungle. Great use of surrounds. Also, Indy's gun in the fight at Marion's bar sounds like a damn cannon!!

Don't get me wrong, no complaints with the audio at all. It's very good. I just remember being impressed with how nice the video looked. I expected the audio to be good, the video surpassed my expectation. Bottom line, it's a winner.

Another Lowry Digital restoration. They are hands down the best restoration company there is. Check out Sunset Blvd and Once Upon a Time in the West. AMAZING video restoration. (They of course did the Star Wars box set as well)
