HELP.
So I am on the west coast, in LA and I have 3 plasmas going on a wall. The president of our company wants to use a laptop to wirelessly transmit video from his laptop to the plasmas.

When I say Video....I mean regular video (powerpoint etc) and DVD's.

Does anyone know of a DEVICE out there that can accomplish this...something I can buy at a FRY's.

Video over wireless is a pretty hefty proposition--your best bet may be terminal services or the like on a PC hooked up to the plasmas.

Why not just run wires through walls?

Presidents of companies want things to be done and work a certain way. It doesn't mean they have to be done exactly the way they think it can be done.

I bet you could find a sleak way to run wires through walls and connect them to a computer.

However, a laptop will only be able to support one additional monitor, unless you find some sort of expander card or something.

What you could do...is have one computer running the 3 plasmas. Then have his laptop use a remote desktop application to control the PC controlling the plasmas wirelessly. And there you go, 3 plasmas controlled by a laptop.

Will the plasmas be all displaying the same thing? If they aren't, things might get complicated.

If they are all showing the same thing, he could simply plug in a cable that is split to all the plasmas, and display things that way.

That's tricky. The only ones I've seen are wireless for composite video at either 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz. 2.4GHz options are bad, too crowded especially if you have a microwave oven and wifi.

I don't know any solution that would do it wirelessly w/ a VGA or DVI output. Your best bet is wired.
