Well it took a while to get everything dialed in just right
but persistance pays off because now i have a better sound stage than any cinema i've been to lately.

The top end is great right off the bat. The bass was a little trickier but i've gone from no bass the first time i switched on and played with the 600 to my walls and windows shaking like mad with no distortion from the sub. Unreal.

I had Axiom hook me up with a custom high gloss black finish and i can see alot of work must have gone into them.

Even finer details like aligning the spec' sticker on the back just perfectly instead of just slapping it on.

They came well packaged and the few fork lift holes in the box didnt matter because there were 2 layers of packing as well as plenty of in between stuff to keep it all nice and safe. The actual speakers were even wrapped in cotton drawstring bags as a final touch.

I've got them hooked up to a denon 3806 biamping the 2 extra channels to the front and its more than enough juice.


Plug in a good DTS live music dvd and the speakers sound as good as they look.

Sweet room man, looks very nice. The only suggestions I have are to not have your left/right mains toed in so much. Also, things will improve as you add more to the room. The walls seem pretty naked. Good thing you have a throw rug, that will help with reflections.

My m60's are about 13ft apart, and just slightly toed in a pinch, not very much. When I listen to music the voices sound like they are dead center, almost coming from my center channel, that is what you want.

Those high gloss numbers are absolutly beautiful .

I have my M80s toed in right about the same as yours, at least looking at the pics it seems like it. It certainly doesn't hurt to play with placement for sure.

Auz, welcome. Very attractive setup indeed. The general idea on toe-in is to have just enough so that the tweeters are pointing at your ears; can't really tell from the pictures if that's what you have now. Enjoy.

It looks like the VP150 could be pointed down towards the listening position a bit more, too. As with the mains, play with placement a bit.

Beautiful setup Auzzie! I really love the gloss black finish on the speakers, looks very elegant. I notice in your pictures you have moved the sub from the side wall down to the back corner, did you do this due to better sonics? I agree with Tom, if possible I'd certainly try to aim the center down towards the listening position and regarding main speaker toe-in here's a snippet from an article by the folks at Home Theatre Sound...

"Toe-in: Some speakers sound best aimed straight forward. Others sound best when aimed right at the listener(s). Many speakers will want to be somewhere between those two extremes. Usually, the manufacturer supplies specific information about this."

Axiom does not specify toe-in within the owners manuals so I guess it's where ever works best for you. I've tried both and *at the moment* mine are in the 'somewhere between those two extremes' location.
