Hey all! Considering Axioms for my up and coming basement home theater, which will be 20 x 11.5 when complete. First row will be about 9-10 feet back from the screen. I want to build a stage and incorporate my mains and center. I am interested in the M-22s, but concerned about how far I have to keep from the wall due to the rear port. What kind of placement do other users feel is a good compromise for these? Thanks!

hmm, not really. I did think about going up to the M50's though, since they are front ported.. but thought that might be overkill for a relatively small area that will be %100 movies

Maybe 1-2 inches. The closer to a wall, the greater bass response that occurs, but in general, the port distance doesn't do much unless the port is covered due to proximity. My M60s stand about 8 inches from the back wall. In our old place, they were about 6 inches out (20.32 cm and 15.24 cm for those on the modern and more convenient metric scale).

The M50s also have a rear port.

Oh well. Any port in a storm. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm in one of my silly moods today.
