Yup, same tweeter.
I have the QS4's and they sound fantastic.
The shape of the tweeter "plate" on the front is different, but the sound portion of the tweeter as exactly the same as the QS4's big brother, the QS8.

Hey Eric,
This has not always been the case, however, I do believe current models sport the same tweeter.

Check out the spec sheets for both. Looks like the same tweeter.

If you have a 12x12 room the QS4's are more than enough.
I doubt you will hear much of a difference between QS8's/QS4's unless you have a large room and really need to push your surrounds to fill the room.

If you can swing it, get the 8s. With the 5.25s you get a little deeper response. You won't regret having really good surrounds.

Eric, in your size room QS4s should be entirely adequate and are the more cost-effective purchase.

How do like your new qs4's sound-wise? I'm looking to replace my Bose 161s (soon, I hope) that I'm currently using as surrounds. My setup is very similar, room-size is about the same, m3s for fronts, vp100 for center, but a Yamaha sub. Do they match well with the m3s? Also, if you don't mind, what receiver are you using? I'm also looking to upgrade from my 65-watt Onkyo SR500.
