I am trying to compare two 5.1 speaker systems. The Paradigm Studio 100's v.4, CC 690 center, ADP 470 surrounds, Servo-15 against the Axiom Epic 80 500 system. I haven't been able to audition the Axioms and no one in my area has them. Have any of you owned both systems and can you give me your thoughts on each. The Paradigm system costs about $6000 after discounts. The Axiom's about $4200. Thanks.

revel, there are plenty of posts on these forums that discuss the Paradigm speakers of all models.
Although Paradigm makes a good speaker, the cost difference for the price performance between those and Axioms should answer your question as to which set you should choose.
You cannot go wrong sonically with either set and hence, go with the less expensive units. Besides, Axiom's customer service will virtually wash your back if you just give them a call. Experience the Axiom service!

ok, thanks much. I will do some searching----although my question was specifically to the very latest version of the Paradigm Studio's which I think were released in last few weeks.

Revel, although I haven't heard the St100's, I've always liked Paradigm's sound. As Chess pointed out you won't go wrong with either brand, but $1800 is a huge pill to swallow. Personally I would get the Axiom's, and apply the $1800 to your display / receiver / DVD's, etc.

Or even a better idea - Get a second EP500 and really smooth out the bass response in your room!
