So when are we doing this?
Quote:

I suggest starting Fellowship of the ring at 9 AM which will be done around 12:45ish.

Break 1 hour for lunch

Start The two towers at 1:45pm which will be done around 5:30pm.

Break 1 hour for supper.

Start Return of the king at 6:30 which will be done around probably 10:30.

...now when your are all done that...

Pop in the Matrix at 11:30 (after the hour break) which will be done around 1:30ish. Hour break.

Pop in Matrix Reloaded at 2:30AM, which will be done around 5AM. Break an hour.

Pop in Reloaded at 6AM, will be done around 8:30AM. You just finished 30 minutes before being up for a day!!!

I am only 3 - 4 hours short of this most days during the week any way. Unfortunatley not watching movies but working and taking care of my 2 boys.

Haha, well I just got all my cables in yesterday, finished running them in the basement (man that 24gauge HDMI cable from Monoprice is THICK!, like a power cord!)

I will be picking up drywall and insulation tommorrow, all in all, If I have time to texture the ceiling this weekend, the basement will be ready to paint by christmas...but I am not sure how much time I will have to do all this, hopefully I will be able to get it all done.

Jason, its only right that you get some toys (axioms) working those hours! You should def think about upgrading to an EP500 sub...I think you deserve it, just put a little away each month in a separate savings acct, it adds up quick.

I am also a huge fan of the matrix, people were dogging the second and third film alot, but I figured, THIS is what the brothers had in mind when they set out, who am I to say it should be any different? I also thought that it was a head spinner of a movie series.

The VTF-2 has been more then enough for my room. Upgraditis has been slain, at least temporarily. Although, I do look at the new 50" TV sometimes and think...hmmmm, maybe I should have gone a little bigger.

The LOTR marathon is almost upon us. The big day is Saturday. I have one other person doing the whole day with me, and a couple of people doing either 1 or 2 of the 3 movies. It looks like there will be 4 people for each viewing on average, which works out well since there are 5 couch seats, although the two loveseat spots aren't as optimal as the 3 couch spots. The plan is:

9:15am arrival

9:30am-1pm FOTR

1-2 PM Lunch break (pulled pork sandwiches, they'll be cooking all night in the crock pot, nice and slow)

2-5:30pm TTT

5:30-6:30pm Dinner (Pizza from Peace A Pizza)

6:30-10:30pm ROTK

Hopefully this all works out as planned. I haven't seen the EE version of them all yet, and I haven't seen any of them since I got the 50" TV back in August, so I'm looking forward to seeing them all.

BTW...I was trying DD vs. DTS last night during the Bridge of Khazadum scene. The DTS soundtrack is supposed to be 6.1, but I only have a 5.1 setup. Anyway, the music in the scene didn't sound as good to be in DTS as it did in DD, which suprised me, since I always pick DTS over DD when its available. The general consensus seems to be it sounds a little better. The DTS in that scene just didn't seem to be mixed as well as the DD version. I'm thinking about just leaving it on DD when we watch these Saturday.

Mmmmm..... Pulled pork.....

Good luck, my friend... And I hope that you have soft cushions, although I think that even the softest seating starts to feel hard after that many hours.

I think that you are joining the elite ranks of LOTR Marathon Masters (Extended Edition). [Trumpets Blasting] [People Cheering] [Confetti Flying]

Of course, I can say that because I was, as far as all evidence here shows, the first one to do it. Now, 16 months (or somewhere there abouts) later, you are #2!!!

Rest well, young traveller. Your journey awaits!

Oh, and no clue on the DTS 6.1 vs. DD 5.1. I have always liked the DTS mix better than DD whenever I hear it, but I don't recall any issues here like you are talking about. DD 5.1 will still blow most of your friends' minds anyway.
