Will you be bench testing the new Sherwood Newcastle 972? Any idea on when it will be available?

The new R-972 is supposed to have 6 HDMI inputs, that are v1.3- and the receiver is supposed to also have Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA support. Retail is supposed to be $1499. Nice.

I saw that today on another website and it perked my interest. Perhaps we can get a good price from Axiom!! I would like to hear Alan's opinion on the 972.

and i will also add that i missed the memo about sherwood and axiom afiliation. when will they start selling i wonder?

If I could offer one piece of constructive criticism to improve Axioms "communication", it would simply be that I wish there was a system in place for "press releases" beyond the newsletters. It seems that often something is mentioned in passing that, to many of us, qualifies as big news and yet there's no "informational release" via this forum or perhaps a nice HTML or .PDF e-mail. They do everything else right, though!
