I know it's a bit early to tell since the 972 isn't even on the Sherwood website yet, but Alan's comments [elsewhere on this Forum] have raised the question, at least in my own mind. My only experience with Sherwood is the really really cheap units at the box stores. I was set on the 4306 but the specs on the 972 are very similar, with the exception of an ethernet port on the 4306 as well as a few more amps output.
Since the cat is out of the bag now, I'm hoping the 972 is one of the units Axiom is considering and that a comment can be made comparing it to others in its class.

I believe that Sherwood and Sherwood Newcastle are separate companies, but I've wondered similar things in the past.

I dont know anything about Sherwood, but I think it is really cool to be able to control the Denon 4306 from a web browser. I think it especially has uses in the secondary zones. I couldnt swing it and got a 2807.
