I thought I'd pass along to those who may not know, that Craigsub as been fighting a serious virus and was hospitalized on Feb 22nd.

Craig's reviews have been very helpful to me over the years, and I know he's helped a lot of people with their subwoofer decisions.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to Craig and his family during this time. Get well soon Craig.

I was a little late in sharing this news with everyone, I apologise for that.

Craig posted the latest on his well being just a little while ago on AVS.

A message from Craig.

Quote:

Thanks again, guys. I get to go home later this morning ... the "hard part" is done. 23 pounds lighter, but feeling remarkably human.

The next few days will be in the upstairs theater room, where my unbelievably wonderful wife can tend to me.

She has always been a great wife, but the last 12 days has shown how great. What an amazing lady !

I will be lurking a lot ... it isn't like I have anywhere to go.

Again, thanks for the kind words, as always, the majority of the guys here are a terrific bunch of guys.

Haven't been to AVS yet this morning ( I always come here first ), so I had not seen the above post when I posted this in another thread here on the forum.

"Got a PM from him yesterday. The doctors finally figured out what was attacking him, and thought it serious enough to check him into the hospital. I'm happy to report that, though he's still in the hospital, he's on the mend. I have no details other than that the virus caused him a great deal of pain."

I'm glad to hear they're letting him out of jail today. There's no place like home.

I believe it was something much more serious than a virus Jack. I offered to send him a large supply of good old Canadian penecillin no questions asked to cheer him up. He said he had to rest and no alcohol for a long time.

Craig - so glad to hear this is under control. From the sounds of it, several of your subwoofers probably weigh more than you now!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery my friend.

You may be right, John. But, I can only go by what Craig told me, which was "....picture a virus which causes ulcers and lesions from the sinuses to the opening to the lungs, and you will have an idea."

Regardless, if doctor's orders are NO BOOZE! , it was definitely serious, and I'm relieved to find him on the mend.

Wow! I used to suffer from sinus infections and I can't even begin to imagine how awful this would be. Thank god the doctors resolved this. Here's to a speedy recovery to Craigsub!

Wishing you a speedy recovery Craig ... no need to worry about that ol' nasty booze stuff anyway, I'm quite sure there are several of us here on the board who will be more than happy to make up for your losses.

We're a little late in learning about this, Craig, but prayers and best wishes that whatever recovery is still needed goes by quickly.

Guys, Craig asked me to pass along his sincere thanks for your concern. Though well aware of your kind wishes, for some reason he is unable to log on to the forum (new forum software?) to offer his thanks himself.

His condition is definitely improving. He says he can even go back to exercising toward the end of the week. If he actually feels like exercising, you can be sure he's doing better.

I'm also please to hear that everything is fine. I hope thats the end of it and you don't have to go through any lifestyle changes.

My wife was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and it has had a huge impact on her, and on me to a lesser extent.

So get well and get back to those subwoofer reviews!
