Found this today. Looks like 1.3 is going to be the standard for awhile.

Now if they could just get their current models working like they are supposed to. lol i have an vsx82 that needs a firmware upgrade for it to work properly and even though i have 5 service centers within 5-20 minutes of me the closest one that can do the firmware is long island which is 2-3 hours depending on traffic. speaking of that i have to quit procrastinating (spelling?) and just ship it out.

I got the firmware on my vsx84 updated recently. In my case luckily there was a local outlet who could do it. My receiver was the first one they did and I dropped it off and picked it up the next day. I have to say that I noticed the difference in the subwoofer levels through HDMI immediately. Needless to say in my case it was a painless experience.
