but I'm waiting for one of these for the new TV set New Sony TV Technology Saw this mentioned last week on my 3 foot deep, non-bendable, CRT display....Pretty neat idea rolling it on the wall like wallpaper.

My Sony DVD player was the straw that broke the camel's back after three terrible Sony experiences. So I walked into The Sony Store one busy Saturday afternoon, threw my DVD player on the ground and walked out. Then I walked over to Starbucks, got me a a venti latte, took a sip and giggled my guts out. It felt so completely appropriate and satisfying  .

Ding!  Even worse than their failed products is their customer support hell. They kept one of my CD/DVD players for THREE MONTHS trying to fix it, and when it finally made it back, half of the outputs on the back were loose and didn't work anymore. Thanks Sony!  Tossed it and bought a Denon and haven't looked back. I'll wait for Toshiba to copy the idea and buy their version. Quote:

Yes, its Ironic because Sony is the probably the largest electronics maker in the world, yet so many people hate them.
I just hate them for their arrogance, I hope the PS3 fails!!

What's a "Zune?"   At the very least this Sony set, love or hate their marketing methods, is a pretty interesting technology with pretty much limitless possibilities. Though, I do get a little nervous when they start talking about how you can just paste it on the wall like wallpaper....gets me thinking that it won't be long before people are turning buildings into running advertisements/tv, etc. I don't want to have to watch that weiner from the Canadian Tire commercials on every wall in/on the building while i'm shopping!

The people who hate Sony can be fairly vocal, but Sony still gets way too much respect from average consumers. It seems like every time I hear about an opinion survey on different companies, Sony is right at the top.
