Where would I find some type of switch box that I could hook multiple receivers and 1 set of speakers up to? I want this for my garage so I can A/B/C/D vintage receivers through the same set of speakers without having to unhook the receiver every time I wanted to change. I don't know if you can buy a box with 3-4-5-6?? ports or not. Thanks.

I've never seen one that would take more than two sources. I have one made by Russound that is designed to switch to multiple speakers and allows 2 sources and I could envision using 3 of their SDB 2.1 speaker selectors to allow 4 receivers to be tried by simply pushing the A/B buttons on the various speaker selectors.... They run about $150 each. http://www.russound.com/speaker_selectors.htm

Peter (pmbuko) did a diagram of how to set this up safely about a year or two ago. Basically, you don't want to use a speaker switcher, because you've got no guarantee the receivers won't overlap for even a small amount of time. Overlapping receivers would be very bad, from what I've heard.

Actually, the product that Foghorn linked to is exactly what cgolf is looking for. They not only provide speaker switching, but two amplifier inputs as well.

You're so right. I have read a number of comments about this issue with switchers. All of them emphasize the importance of not overlapping the on / off of multiple receivers!! Thanks for the advice.

Checked them out and they may be what I want. Need to do some more research. Thanks.
