I have been following a thread on HTF about the VP 100 center channel. It seems a few owners feel the 100 is the weakest link in their HT setups and will be upgrading to the VP150. The VP 150 is just to big, so I was wondering how the M3ti would be as a center for M40 or M50's.

Thank you in advance for your reply!

Steve

PS. If anyone is using the M3ti as center please post your impresions.

You can certainly use the M3 as a center. It does not fit on top of the television quite as conveniently but it will work well. I think what you are hearing as the weak link with the VP100 is in fact a weak link with any center channel that utilizes a woofer tweeter woofer array. This configuration has a detrimental effect on the off axis response of the speaker. In the overall performance of the Home Theater system this colored off axis response is very difficult to detect and becomes out weighed by the advantages of having the center channel sit close to the screen.
