Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless to our southern neighbours and all the Americans serving their country overseas.

Yes, God bless all you US-American's for giving us the tradition of NFL football midweek.

I cant get a price quote on something I sell from a US manufacturer because of the holiday, so I'm gonna watch the rest of the Lions-Packers game.....therefore, such as,

BTW Randy, you were the guy on AVS that suggested I check out the Axiom site for a local audition and now I'm a happy owner watching the NFL in 5.1 surround via Axiom. Thanks.

Have a great holiday folks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We already had our day in Canada. This is perfect because my neighbor is American so I can go over to his place for a second round of roasted Walking Bird!

Anybody braving the Black Friday crowds? [Grampa Simpson]Back in my day, I used to enjoy it, but now its gotten to be such a big phenomenon that it's no fun anymore. I'm less and less patient in lines and fighting crowds in the stores and on the road. Waiting for 5 traffic signal cycles where usually it's 1 (at the most) is not my cup of tea.[/Grampa Simpson]

I was out and about this morning, not because of Black Friday, but I needed some dental floss and a crossword book that I've only been able to find at Rite Aid. I swung by Best Buy in the hopes that the crowds may have thinned, but, boy, was I wrong! No parking anywhere.

I used to work in retail and I hated Black Fridays. There is no way you'll get me up at 5am the morning after Thanksgiving anymore!

For some reason I woke up at 5:30 this morning, despite being up until after midnight. I don't really care about Black Friday. I think it's because I've been working on my blog (installed new blog software, playing with the plugins, have a ton of work to do on the appearance). I suppose it's good to have a reason to wake up in the morning, even if it's a bad one.

I also worked in retail. 7 years at Fred Meyer, and yeah, Black Friday was always insane.

On my work to work I passed by our one and only mall at 4:35 this morning and was astonished at the jam packed parking lots ... good thing I made the right turn to I-95 while the rest of the traffic was making the left into the mall.

No way, no how will I ever subject myself to that suicidal mess.

Agreed, BB. Especially since you can find better deals online, and often from the same stores a little closer to Christmas.
