The Samsung 1200 uses the Reon. There is a review on it at Secrets and the review is very good. However, it lacks decoding of all the new formats, so it’s a bust as far as I’m concerned. Plus, the Samsungs have all been pretty buggy, as reported by users at AVS. The Panasonic BD 30 is a great BR machine, but not so great with SD. Personally, I think the best SD option would be to use an Oppo 980, and all audio CDs and SACDs. They are cheap and you will also get an incredible bargain with outstanding audio playback. The 981 may have a ‘slight’ edge over the 980 with video, but the 980 blows the 981 away for audio. Again, Secrets just wrote an excellent review of the 980, specific to its audio capabilities. Over at Blu-ray.com :

"At the Sony booth, they are showcasing two new prototype BD-Live players. The Sapphire 3 and 4 will both be Profile 2.0. Sony also has indicated that the PS3 will get a BD-Live upgrade sometime in the future."

Also I asked my girlfriend about the PS3 and she said "whatever I think is best" ;\)
