I have no idea what most of that stuff means but it sounds cool. MY friend built a computer that he says he plays crisis on 1/2 the max setting. He offered to sell the computer + monitor to me for $600 bucks... but I already have 2 desktops. Neither of the two have beefed up graphics cards for gaming since I don't do any PC gaming.
I think the reason I never got into PC gaming is b/c it is too expensive to keep upgrading your system to play the latest and greatest, Plus I prefer to play games on a big screen while sitting on the couch and jamming out my epic 80/500 system.
Anyway, It is a really nice looking computer! How much does something like that cost to build anyway? a few thousand?

It put me back $2400 with PC and all the periperals.
I use to be into console gaming a lot but solely switched to PC gaming because basically most of the games I play are FPS/action genre. Nothing beats the controllibility and functionality of a mouse and a keyboard in FPS games rather than a controller (in my opinion).

That is what many people say (about the mouse/keyboard combo.) The only first person shooter I played on pc was half life... I mostly played RPG's like daggerfall/ect.
Since I have always played FPS games on a console I love the controller.
Anyway, looks like a really nice computer!

Nice. I have the Thermalright non-Extreme and that same fan. Love it. I have my Opteron overclocked to 2.9GHz. Sigh... for a C2D. Other than in my laptops.

Pretty cool. I went all out like that a few years back, and a friend talked me into the case with the size window, and the cold cathode lights. I went UV on the 12" tubes and found some fans with UV lights, and I painted the inside with UV paint, etc. Problem was I have this thing in my bedroom, and it is so dang bright that I can't leave it on and get any sleep. So for about 2 years now, I've left the cold cathodes off, and replaced all but 1 fan to ones without lights. Now it glows still, but not as bright. Still bright enough to be annoying though. So, don't put it in your bedroom unless you like sleeping with a bright light on.

If only the window and the lighting effects helped the performance...

I was into PC gameing before the PS2 came out. I played alot of R6,Warcraft,UrbanAssualt,RedAlert,HomeWorld,MechAssualt,SFC,KA.
There was something about PC gameing that was addictive, Maybe the online or i think the amount of control you had over the game? I do not play the PC anymore only my PS3 and XBOX360 and never having to deal with WINDOWS or sit at a desk is well worth it!

You have to go widescreen big screen realestate in HT loungers!! HT computers that can also do gaming are all the rage these days. I hooked up a demo of F.E.A.R. a few months ago with a new system i built for a friend. Once we got the ATI interface sorted out, the picture was fantastic. DVD quality gaming on a 52" screen with the Axioms cranked. FEAR scared the bejesus out of us the first time an action scene cut to a quick 'movie' insert. Very unexpected. Excellent game. If i did more gaming i would consider building a system specifically for the media room.

Yeah, I also have a gaming laptop and all i do is use a DVI to HDMI and hook it to my big screen plasma, and also played FEAR. Its pretty awesome. I am in one of the top clans for FEAR (multiplayer). If see me under the name Anomaly[MS] in FEAR Combat... watch out!
Current PC games I'm on is Gears Of War, FEAR: Perseus Mandate, and Half Life 2: Ep. 2, and also Soldiers of Fortune: Payback.
The window and lights is purely for cosmetics of course. Good when I take it to LAN parties.
With everything overclocked, I pushed Crysis with everything max (DX10 hack) with +40 FPS at 1280x1024 res. with no AA.
