Is slight defects found in factory outlet worth accepting for 10% discount to list?
Has anyone ordered factory outlet and then sent it back to re-order full price? If so, why?
Thanks,
Rick

If I had a dollar for every time this question go asked....
Yes, yes, mainly because they wanted a custom color.
To clarify, the defects are generally very, very minor, and do not affect the sound quality. These aren't returns, they're pulls from the production line.

Search tool is nice. Not sure I would use the words "product rejection defects", that is a little strong. Yes, well worth the 10%, you will unlikely not be able to find any small nicks or blemishes.

I have 5 pieces of FO gear. I found a small scratch on the side of one speaker (which I am now hard pressed to locate).

I have pretty good luck with the search tool, but then again I read the instructions.

The search tool may not be the greatest but "factory outlet" brings up 4 threads this year: 1 2 3 4
M80s/VP160/QS8s/EP350; M22s; M3s.

I didn't read the instructions whenever I first showed up here and started asking questions either, that's why I came to the forum. Whenever a young pilot starts asking me questions about stuff I long ago forgot I too have a tendency to be a little impatient ... right up until the point that I put myself in that very situation many years ago and wonder why nobody bothered to give me a lending hand. I'm just sayin'. - - - - Rick, the FO can be a very rewarding place to buy ... I've only bought one item from there, that being an EP600 subwoofer about three trouble free years ago. I believe there have been a couple of folks whom have had to replace the amps in their brand new 600s while my factory refurbished 600 has never missed a beat for the time I've owned it. You'll be in good hands. Welcome aboard!

Short answer, YES! Go for it. One of my M60 fronts and my VP150 center have some "dings" in them, but it wasn't from the factory (let's just say "teenagers and the 2008 super bowl at our house"). I couldn't find any cosmetic flaws in any of my F.O. stuff.

epic 80/ep500 5.1 system here all from FO. No blemishes at all- except one scratch on the back of the subwoofer that nobody ever will see

Welcome, I purchased my EP 500 from the F.O. I have not yet been able to find a blemish.
