You guys know I'm a beer guy foremost, but I've been enjoying Zinfandels from Ravenswood and Rancho Zabaco lately. Enjoyable and a good value.

Nope...it is indeed Sunstone.

We bought a bottle of their Eros, and Muscat wines. The Eros was really amazing. Pricey, but amazing.

Another great value cabernet is from Chile, Concha Y Toro winery, the Casillero del Diablo 2000. Around $10 too, but surprisingly nice for the money.
I get a kick outta trying to find good wines in the sub $15 range, guess it's the same desire to find good value in audio equipment.

My wife can't wait to start drinking again. She's ready to go for it as soon as the baby's separated from her bloodstream. When I asked her about alcohol's effect on breastmilk she said, "That's what pump-n-dump is for."
Is that too graphic for the bachelors or child-free folks?

I've been tempted to try that Concha wine (they have it at Costco right now). Another fantastic wine I found at Costco is Katherines Chardonnay from Cambria. I'm not much of a Chard fan, but it is very nice ($11 at Costco).
The red that I just drool over with Mesquite grilled/smoked beef is Montignana Chianti Classico Riserva 1995. No idea of the price at MSRP, got it clearanced at Albertsons!

My wife just had our first baby on the 6th. You might want to hold off on the wine until the hormones and mood swings settle down. YIKES!!!!

Um... That's not really a good thing, but I really can't tell either of you that.

Peter, Jen (my wife) and I had an excellent Zinfandel a year or two ago from White Oak Winery. I haven't been able to find it in stores, but I've got their phone number.
Let me tell you, Peter's got excellent taste in wines (most of the time). That's where I have most of the wine I drink (my wife and I not being big drinkers at home; we tend to open a bottle, have 2 glasses, and then have the bottle go bad...)
Aha! They've got a website with an order form!
