Full story here.

My love affair with the PS3 and its ever-expanding capabilities continues. \:D

I will likely buy a PS3 if this happens... unless a compareable bluray player with all of the same features comes out for less money...

What's all this "if" and "I hope." Don't you two know that if you read it on the Internet it's true?

I really don't understand the purpose of DD True HD and DTS-HD MA. If there's enough space on a Blu-ray for uncompressed audio, why include such compressed (lossless??)audio format on the disc?
They can't be better, right?

You do realize that DD True HD and DTS-HD MA are lossless codecs, right? Some consider DTS-HD MA the holy grail of audio.

I reported on this in a different thread from a different source. This is the main reason I switched from waiting for the Panasonic BD50 to buying the PS3 last week. The BD50 had a street price of $599, the PS3 $399...pretty much a no brainer.

If that comes true then the ps3 will be one of the best blu-ray available for sure!

I don't regret buying one even if this doesn't get added!
