Another sad aspect is that many of the most passionate, never rise to greatness.
There are some truly magical guitar players but do to circumstance will never get discovered. Most are happy that way, but that's part of it being a true passion.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

While I'm not a big fan of his work, I do recognize that BD got screwed out out of lots of royalties.
