Do you need cable to watch that?

My wife became a soccer fan since the last world cup 3 years ago. She wasn’t working at the time and having no kids to worry about she would watch all games. By the end of the Cup she became kind of a soccer connoisseur. Funny since neither of us has ever watched a soccer game before … she would even criticize sports fans, now she has become one (Manchester, I think), … the first thing she reads every morning is the news sport section. Anyways , she is following the Euro2008, and she's rooting for Netherland too. Right now she’s watching Spain and some other team on our Axiom system… oh well..:-)

Right now she’s watching Spain and some other team on our Axiom system You mean if I turn on my M80s I can watch soccer? The cable companies are in big trouble if this gets around. Its funny how we become interested in things sometimes. As a son of European imigrants, I was the only kid in our neighbourhood to own a soccer ball. It is the most physically demanding sport I have ever played. If I were willing to pay for cable, I would probably be watching.

I watched the second half of the Greece v. Russia game today on my flight back from California. While it was nice watching soccer/football, the match wasn't very interesting. I like the accents of the commentators, though.

Hey, Bren. That Turkey - Czech Republic game yesterday was fantastic! Down 2-0 and facing elimination, Turkey gets 3 second half goals to win. Germany vs Austria today in a must win for Germany. This is good stuff!

So I miss the Sunday games due to prior commitments and I miss one of the best games of the round robin.
I have it PVRed though.

I watched a ton over the weekend as I was too sick to get off the couch half the time. Funny part is, I can't remember who won a single game.
