Black & White
These must be the first few black speakers to be posted Thanks to jakewash who convinced me on the axioms! They sound really really good! a big step up from my Athena Point Fives... I followed the golden triangle rule for the front speakers... I have them tilted towards the sofa. They are about a foot away from the wall. Is this the right way to go?

Also, I tried the spiked feet for the m60s but those didn't work out well. The rubber feet actually seems more stable but I opted to go without either. Am I ruining the carpet? (I ended up using 3 rubber feet to tilt the VP150 up)

I think the speakers are designed to be off the floor, so I would recommend using the rubber feet.

Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. I think your placement sounds about right.

Welcome to the Axiom Family, glad I actually helped someone!
I too, recommend using the rubber feet with the M60s. I feel the speakers sound better when isolated from the floor, at least they did to me.

I didn't post pics of my subwoofer but its off to the side. I have the speakers paired with a JBL S120 PII. They sound good together. I have the receiver set to about 80Hz and the subwoofer at about 75Hz. If I don't set the crossover on the subwoofers, the bass tends to overwhelm, at least in my ears.
I have the receiver set at treble +1dB and 0 for bass since the trebles tend to get drowned by the bass, again everyone probably has a different preference
The m60s really differentiates between the good and bad recordings. I hear some new sounds in some recordings that I don't believe I heard previously. Especially noticeable is the bass guitar... that sounds real good on the m60s.
The QS4's seem to sound a little softer than the rest of my speakers. I don't know if this is something I can tweak on my receiver. I know I set the distance correctly though.

Levels. You need to set the levels. In other words, calibrate the system, either by hand (with a sound pressure level meter) or using your receiver's built in test tones. That should also solve your bass problem, and you can set the crossover on the sub to bypass or the highest level. As it is, you are missing out on sound from 75-80hz by having the two crossovers set.
