I would think it would be fine. 14 gauge extension cords should be able to handle anything that sub would be pulling. If it was pulling more than that, it would need to have a 20 amp plug anyway...

Ditto Ken; you don't need a "really thick" extension cord. The standard sizes are rated for more than a sub amp would require. I've been using a regular 16ga extension cord with my EP500 for the past couple years.

Hmm... good to know. It seems to be impossible to find 14 gauge 2 prong extension cords.
