I already told the story and gave a sneak peak of how she looks. Here are some photos I took last night. Enjoy. Can't wait to plug her in a see how she sounds.

That is insanely gorgeous. So, are you going to break it in with Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water?

Thanks, all. I wont be Pete Townsend-ing it anytime soon.

You'll note the number "10" handwritten under the lacquer on the headstock. I just learned that this number refers to the quality of the top wood - mostly the grain - on a scale of 1 to 10. The dimensions in the grain are unreal.

My acoustic guitar by Taylor has a quilted maple back, which is pretty spectacular, too. But, it's on the back of the guitar, so, mostly, it is hidden to the world. Apparently, the maple back is unusual, too. They usually do mahogany for the whole back carved section.

I'll have to drag out my old amp this weekend and crank up some tunes to play along with. I mostly play the acoustic guitar these days - perhaps this will get me back into the electric groove.

I don't seem to see the right buttons...

in fact, i don't see any buttons at ALL. What's the point?

j\k that's a beautiful piece of work. I am VERY jealous, as I also enjoy some John Mayer.

That is gorgeous Adrien! This looks extremely similar to Carlos Santana's guitar, I believe Carlos' is a little bit more of a darker golden honey or reddish color? Seems like somebody else I saw recently was playing the same guitar but I can't remember who ... Joe Walsh maybe?

Beautiful instrument, Adrien! Now you play nice! Since guitar string "break-in" is just as important as it is with speaker wire, if you want it to sound good you have to start out with something good. I'd suggest Albeniz's Asturias(sample 2. here ).

I'd take a few of JM's girlfriend's for a drive around the block, for sure.

Don't know what the break in period for a Jennifer Aniston is, though.
