Let's see...Matrix Reloaded comes out this Tuesday, Indiana Jones next week, then Sopranons Season 4 and the Looney Toons Collection Oct. 28th.
Anybody want to buy my old Axiom AX500 so I can afford DVDs this month?

Last week:
Lion King
Scarface
SFW
PCU
Down with Love
Fargo
Italian Job
Next week:
Matrix Reloaded
Week after:
Spielberg's Taken
Indy Trilogy
Battle Star Galactica
Week after that:
Sopranos
Hulk
November:

So yes, it's an expensive DVD season.

CD sales are dropping off because most "pop" music these days sucks. Most of the Top 40 songs are one hit wonders. How many of these "artists" have numerous hits? Who in their right mind is going to buy a $15-17 CD for one decent song? I believe mp3's may have killed the sales of singles, but the reason albums don't sell is that they suck. Plain and simple.
Back to the topic... ( ) I agree, there are some cool dvd's coming out this month.

Just picked up an action double pack from costco. We Were Soldiers and Apocalypse Redux for 19.99. And they give you a $10 coupon for the Indiana Jones trilogy.

Hiya All,
I spend a fortune every month on DVDs =) they are the reason I am looking at getting the Epic80 package, and was considering an extra set of the QS8 to make it 7 speakers total.
Here are a couple of interesting links:
http://www.dvdpricesearch.com
Very good search engine for lowest price DVDs.
http://www.dvdprofiler.com
Excellent freeware for tracking large DVD collections, entering new titles is a snap since it is done by barcode.
And finally a link to my own modest collection =) haha

The PQ is pretty nice, but the sound is only fair. It doesn't sound awful, but it's a pretty bland mix. Little or no use of surrounds.

Hey hbellew,
Wow!! My collection pales in comparison to yours. Don't you eat? LOL!! I used to spend quite a fortune on DVD's. I still buy quite a bit but I'm a little more picky now when I buy new. I've been getting great deals buying previously viewed DVD's. I just recently bought 4 DVD's (Shanghai Knights, Final Fantasy, Tears of the Sun, and Biker Boyz) which only cost me $40 CDN with taxes in. Can't beat that!!

Looks like a video-phile's wet dream! I'd have a field day borrowing from that library!

Heh - that reminds me, I have to take back The Patriot -- I rented it from the library a few days ago .
