I wish the new Sherwood 972 and Outlaw pre would come out so I could get some review feedback on Trinnov. At some point over the next year I'm thinking about getting a different receiver. What is taking Sherwood so long?

Randy, as I mentioned in another thread, yet another delay, now set for the end of January, has occurred. This apparently is due to the center channel somehow having become inactive with Trinnov when demonstrated at the Audioholics show.

As I've mentioned before, the extensive 20 page test and review of the professional version of Trinnov($12,000)in SensibleSound over a year ago by Dr. Rich was extremely interesting and the hope is that the version in the 972 implements most of that capability.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

After all the buildup, the review at Audioholics was very muted. It was almost as if they were dissapointed, but really really wanted it to be as incredible as the pro version.

I am guessing that this is very hard to implement on consumer grade chips/equipment.

I want to know how it will handle multiple subs. I'm guessing it will be to expensive anyway, so I'll have to opt for a MultEQ XT version of Audyssey from Denon.

If I recall correctly, the main problem seemed to be that they were using small Hsu bookshelves in a very large room. Not really an ideal way to showcase the technology.
