Have her issue an RFP and then submit a proposal.

HA! I think she already did issue an RFP when she said "where the heck is my ring" \:\)

SWEET! In my case, I bought the ring 6 months before proposing (I relocated internationally and knew I wouldn't see my fiancee for 6 months). It was a lot of fun to get the ring out and look at it and think about the proposal to come. Enjoy the planning!

My wife wanted something small which was good, that's all I could afford. After 14 years the back of the band was worn pretty thin and then the microscopic diamond got lost. I bought her a new one this last year that has enough shine to keep all the other guys back while she is at work.

I really hated my wife having to say "sorry I'm married" on a regular basis even though she had the gold wedding band on.

She says the new one gets a lot of attention and that she gets less so it was definitely worth saving for.

You could have just lifted your leg and peed on her if marking her as taken was your only reason for the ring. ;\)

Somehow I don't think she would have appreciated that...lol

Although there are some strange things some people are into.

Those guys are dogs for sure but probably don't have noses for that to be effective! The idea is to keep her, not send her off which Zarak wisely thought might be the result of such actions.
