Since Craig (spiffnme) hasn't jumped in on this one, I will say: Consider the VTF-3(R) and TN-1220HO from Hsu, too!
According to this page, the SVS PCi series uses an "Improved Standard Driver (ISD) that's beefed up in every regard" as compared with the old PC series. I hope that SVS aficionados here will fill in with more details.

SVS makes has two lines of PC (powered cylinder) subwoofers: the PCi and the PC+. The differences between the two are the driver, the amp, and the ports.
The PCi version is less expensive. It uses a 12" ISD (improved standard driver), a 320 watt BASH amp, and has one high-flow port.
The PC+ version is more expensive. It uses a 12" Super High Output driver, a 525 watt BASH amp, and has three tunable high-flow ports.

Wow, Peter, that was a wonderfully helpful and concise response. But completely devoid of your usual high level of hilarity. You sleep deprived or something?

Hmmm....
I got up at 4:30AM today to take my brother to the airport to catch a flight to Hawaii. Jealousy and tiredness could be the cause of writing a post deviod of humor.
I've also been on the phone all week helping people -re-configure their software for the upgraded ordering system at work. To keep a long story short, they botched the update instructions for the Macintosh -- nobody consulted me -- and practically every single Mac user of the software is calling in to say they can't get it to work. Suffice it to say, I've had less time to come up with zingers.
Or perhaps it's that I promised myself to avoid the forums for at least a week or two after my son is born. I could be trying to wean myself from this highly-addictive-and-might-be-considered-illegal-in-some-countries forum.
I need a nap.
