So, it looks like I'm going to need to knock out a wall in my living room.

As much as I'd like to move the speakers farther apart, I am constrained by a fireplace on one side and blocking the entrance to the bathroom and guest room on the other. I could walk upstairs to use the bathroom, and I suppose we could discontinue visits from out-of-town guests, but I don't think the arrangement would be of sufficient WAF.

So, it looks like I'll have to vary the toe-in until things sound as good as they can, and then wait to really experience these speakers in a bigger room.

Other thoughts?

You could also move the speakers out when listening critically and move them back in after you're done. I think you should move them all over the place to find the best spot for sound, then relegate them to the best spot for WAF later.

Scott, as some of the replies have indicated, the general idea would be to be sitting little farther from the speakers than the distance separating the speakers. On toe-in, the general idea is to have the left and right tweeters pointing at your left and right ears.

As to bi-wiring, it makes no electrical difference other than that two wires are equal in resistance to one wire three gauges heavier(e.g. two 16 gauge wires are equal to one 13 gauge wire). So, I'd suggest not to bother, but if you've already got them wired it doesn't do any harm either.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
