Hello all. I came here to ask a few questions, and was overwhelmed about how helpful and knowledgeable the fellow users are. Just wanted to say thanks a lot!
Anyway, to introduce myself, I come from Wisconsin, although I currently live in Germany. Although I must admit I am a novice to home audio, I have always been a big fan of acoustics of any kind. I always had fun putting systems in cars for example. In the end, I studied electrical engineering, partially due to this fascination.
I wonder if there are any other european axiomites here?

I wonder if there are any other european axiomites here? Good question. I don't know of any active members from Europe off the top of my head. I suppose this makes you our link to the Old World.

Barkeep, if you look at the list in the Audition thread at the top of the Hearing Things forum you'll see that a very few European owners are listed for audition purposes. None are more than extremely rare participants in the forums. There are, of course, more Axiom owners in Europe than those who've put their name on the audition list, but again, they don't participate here frequently.

I'm in Bavaria right now. I moved here a few years ago to get a master's. Sure, there are lots of great graduate schools in America, but Bavaria is in a great location of Europe to travel.

Welcome dmbartender! I too was overwhelmed when I first started browsing here and now these guys are like neighbors that I chat to every day. Helps me get through my boring routine of daily morning conference calls.
Our Jeep Club is the only other forum that is as helpful and friendly as this one but that doesn't count as most of us know each other.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.
