To kick off this new thread, here's a cool game for you movie buffs. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Empire magazine made a painting with 50 visual clues. Each clue represents a movie of the last 20 years. After the first go round in between patients, I'm up to 18. A cool feature: by entering your email address, it saves your game so that you can leave the site and later return to your game in progress. I got this from Chez's blog, Deus ex Malcontent. He claims to have found 47.

Clarification: Don't forget to click the save button (under the picture) to actually save the game.

That looks like an interesting one, but I already know I wouldn't even be a contender.

I cheated after getting into the mid-20s. Google search brings up message boards with detailed keys...

I'm at 18 without resorting to Google yet. I'll try a little longer, but will use Google soon. I must be getting the title wrong for the vampire one.

Up to 28 now. Only had to use google to get the title of the Vampire movie. I was giving it "a" instead of "the".

Ok I’m not really playing online but I’m playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion. My character is level 33 with all but a few stats maxed out. Already finished all the Dark Brotherhood, Fighters Guild and thieves Guild and most of the Mages Guild quests. Planning on those the Arena and stand alone quests today and finish up the main quest line this weekend.

I’ve told myself no new games until I finish all the ones I already have some of which I haven’t even started because I’m waiting on the projector and screen.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion remains at the top of my single person favorites.

Still playing Everquest II one night a week online with my buddies. It's very much like Elder Scrolls except with other real people running their avatars around. I have also found it great to keep in touch with a couple of old friends. If it wasn't for us all playing MMPORPGs for the last 15 years and now using voice chat with Skype added in instead of text, I'm sure we would have slowly grown further apart but we stay connected weekly, albeit through an alternate reality.

That’s cool you’ve been able to keep playing over that time. I’ve pretty much lost touch will all the friends I use to play D&D, C&S, Traveler etc… with because there was no internet back in the day. We did do some PBEM stuff for awhile but peoples lives kept interfering with getting games done and everyone sort of lost interest. Besides it was the interaction not just the game itself that made roleplaying interesting.

I’ve sort of intentionally stayed away from MMPORPGs to avoid getting totally sucked into the alternate reality the way we all did with paper and pencil RPGs. Maybe once I get everything with my life dialed in I might put a toe into that water.

Ya, started with being very heavy into D&D with my best friends. Broke into a spy game variant RPG for a while but always came back to D&D. We put a lot of time into it. Probably too much time but luckily we also shared a vary active social life. We managed a saving throw vs. 'polymorphing into a basement dwelling nerd monster' quiet a few times.

Luckily the call of beers, girls and doing stupid teenage things (in no particular order) kept us from getting in too deep.

Top Secret by any chance?

We were wargameres who also started RPGing when a friend brought an original D&D box set back from TSR after a vacation in Wisconsin. We quickly discovered that Flying Buffalo Inc. was just over in Scottsdale when they put out T&T. At first they didn’t have a storefront (mail order from a warehouse) but they ran games there and would let you go back and browse the shelves and buy stuff direct from them so we always had the latest games and supplements. From there we branched out to just about every RPG someone made for awhile, until there were just to many to keep up with.

Started getting to expensive to get everything for each game so we could all GM all of them so we each specialized in GMing our favorites. I ended up running Traveler, Chivalry & Sorcery and Runequest mainly.

I’ve tried gaming some since then but just never found a group that had the same chemistry. I suppose it was because we where already friends and also had social lives together outside of gaming.

I even did some live action RPGing with some SCA buddies during my first attempt at University. The utility tunnels under the buildings at Oregon State University made for great dungeon passages. It was very educational as to what weapons and fighting styles really worked in close quarters.
