Little Big Planet -- just started it this week but it really is amazingly beautiful and fun so far.
Rock Band 2 for the PS3, including new instruments. Literally got it last night, so have only played the drums so far. Definitely a nicer feel to it, but seem to be having more of a lag issue that I'll address today.

Amazon just sent me a promotional code for $10.00 off a video game, I just purchased Fallout 3 and the new Call of Duty, any suggestions on a new game? I'm undecided between, Fable II, Resistence 2, Gears of War2 or Little Big Planet. Thanks

To add, even a really good Wii game would be considered.

Gears of War 2 is an amazingly fun game. Too often game developers come out with a sequel to a game that is more like a short extension to the campaign and a few new multiplayer maps that could have been downloaded as a map-pack. This is not the case of Gears 2. Soooo many new game modes, weapons, maps, and a great new campaign. Somehow they actually managed to make the game even more gory this time around too. If you plan on playing online then Gears 2 is a must buy. If you only plan on playing the campaign I think it is safe to say that you could beat it with a rent. (I am nowhere close to beating it since I keep spending most of my time online)
LittleBIGplanet is incredibly fun as well. Unlocking stickers, decorations, new costume pieces, objects, and materials is more exciting than it probably should be. Playing online is fun, although I haven't found anyone with a mic yet. I had some friends come over for football the other night and 3 of them ended up staying at my house. We all woke up the next morning and me, my girlfriend, and my 3 friends played LBP for at least a couple of hours. There was laughing, screaming, and cussing as we fought our way through a couple of the last levels that came included on the game. We only had two controllers so we just took turns... I can only imagine how fun it would have been with 4 controllers! The options are near endless when it comes to level creation. I am in the middle of my first level and it definitely takes some time and patience to figure out. However, playing levels people have uploaded give you some great ideas on what kind of stuff you can create and makes you want to try it yourself.
Very tough choice between the two... I am glad I have both!

David, would LittleBigPlanet be a game that my 7 and 4 year old boys could play together, if so it looks like I'll have to get a couple games.

LBP is definately something that kids can enjoy. A lot of the levels actually are pretty tough (especially toward the end) but there are probably enough easy levels for younger children enjoy it. Of course now a-days younger kids are probably better at video games than most adults...

Gears of War 2. So far the campaign seems better than 1 as there haven’t been as many “puzzles” requiring you to die multiple time just trying to figure out some special way to get through the level. Good but not great LFE since to much of what I want to feel through the LFE channel only makes the controller shake, why can’t they do both?
