HereMaybe I'll get this for my new computer build, depending on how well it fares in reviews... and how expensive it is.

$700 according to Maximum PC. I'm over it.

LOL - "wind tunnel test uses exactly the same criteria as critical for the F1 race car" I'm leaning more towards the Antec Skeleton for my next build

Yeah, I only paid $400 for my computer's case. I'm getting ready to launch a line of "hand built" PCs at work, for local customers. I saw this Level 10, and thought it would be great for the high-end gamer box, but that's just too much. I just looked, my previous machine did have a $700 case. What was I thinking?

My super tower is bigger. http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?S=1122&ID=1405#Tab111 external 5.25 bays 2 of which have inserts for 3.5 floppies if you wish, and 6 internal 3.5 bays. Ok one less expansion slot but lots of elbow room. It might also provide reasonable cover against small caliber rounds.

That looks cool. I wonder how loud it is.

I just looked, my previous machine did have a $700 case. What was I thinking? At least it came with a power supply, right? I like the Antec I have, so I could just get another one of those, but I always get the urge to try something new. I still plan on getting your input when I do finally want to put together a system.

Shouldn't be too bad - I generally find the loudest component in a system is usually the video card. Since it will mostly be used as a HTPC if it's too loud then crank the volume. As it is now my Silverstone LC-10 HTPC is in the wall unit with the rest of my components connected via HDMI to the 61" Samsung and my 22" LCD is 20' away using a 30' DVI cable I don't have a gallery here as I don't have any Axiom's (yet) but you can see my gallery over at blu ray.com

I've got a Silverstone TJ05. I thought it was expensive at $150! It's a monster, though. Nice to work in, although I wish I had an extra 120mm fan mount.

:) At least it came with a power supply, right? It had triple, 2N+1, redundant power supplies, and that was most of the cost. My current case only came with the single, standard PS, but it otherwise pretty much the same. So that difference accounts for most of the $300. (Also, the older one also had a 10-bay SCA backplane, whereas the new has a 8-bay SAS.) SCA = Single Connector Attached, Wide SCSI, but with the power leads incorporated into the data connector so the drive and easily be hotswapped. SAS = Serial Attached SCSI, the conversion of the SCSI interface from parallel to serial, much like the change in IDE from PATA to SATA, uses the same connectors as SATA (actually SATA drives can be plugged into a SAS system, but not the other way around).

I liked the LC-10 so much I'm thinking of getting another one. Also REALLY like my current Antec P-182. It's fun to shop for computer components.

Way to much fun And that poster is classic. Back in the 70s I use to watch European soccer on PBS and thought it was quite good. It’s gotten so bad now that it’s unwatchable for me.

Pretty cool. I may have to keep that in mind if I make an HTPC at some point.

That is interesting. Cool concept, but I don't know if it is right for me. I have always wanted to take a 1960's console stereo and infuse it with modern technology, though.
