First of I would like to say that I love Axiom speakers! But latley have had a litle qustion on my mind which is M40 vs M22? I want to no how much more louder the M40 is over the M22?The Midrange?and SoundStaging? Which has more clarity?
Any info would be GREAT thanks!!

The M22s are actually louder than the M40s by a db or so per watt. The big difference is in the bass. The M40s will go down to 35 Hz and even have very useful energy below that.

Ian,
can you comment on other differences between the M22's and M40's? For example, the differences in the midrange performance? Maybe people have commented that the M3's have a more laid back midrange than the M22's. How do the M40's compare to the M22's? Some people say the M40's are just M3's that are floorstanders, though I tend to think this is not likely the case.

The M40's are a floor standing version of the M3 with a very similar imaging and balance through the mid range and high frequency. The M40s however will achieve a very low frequency. There is appreciable bass from the M40 right down to 20Hz.
