As a few might remember, I've been posting questions and asking about speakers for a couple months now. My wife had said she wanted to buy some Axiom's for me/us for Christmas, but I left it up to her to decide which (m22's or m60's, surprise factor). Well, they arrived yesterday and she decided that we might as well enjoy them now, instead of sitting in Santa's sleigh for two weeks.

I am now the proud owner of a pair of Cherry m22's, a Cherry VP150, and SS24 stands. Moved my Energy Take 2 fronts to serve as the rear-center L/R in my now 7.1 surround sound setup.

These speakers are unreal! My midrange came back! The highs are about what I'm used to from the Energy's, but the low end is so much improved and the midrange, well, I *have* midrange again. Listening to the Nora Jones and Dave Brubeck SACD's were astounding. Such a difference! As the many comments point out, the m22's really just dissapear in the room.

We watched parts of the Two Towers Extended edition last night, dialog snapped like never before and that occasional quiet mumble is now a delicate secret, that we fully understand; now distinct and clear. My wife was a little concerned that the VP150 would be "too much" for the m22's, but it certainly isn't. The three blend perfectly across the front.

So anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the lively discussion that's persuaded us to go with Axiom. So happy to be on the "other" side of the fence now, where I can recommend Axiom's to everyone else!! :-)

My M60's make me listen
My M80's make my ears hear
Either way - I'm not deaf anymore
