4 weeks is not coming soon enough. It's like Christmas when we were kids.

4 weeks is long. I recently had to wait for a back order processor for 3 weeks and nearly went on a killing spree... but it would have involved talking to other people so I stayed home and ate the couch instead.

Come on. When ever I hear someone crying and complaining about waiting for their speakers, I just tell them to try waiting 12 weeks!!!! That's what I had to do... (just kidding about the snotty comments. Heck, even 1 day of waiting seems too long. Just remember that you are going to be happy for many, many YEARS to come. A few weeks is a small price to pay for a long time of great listening. Oh and welcome to the club! Happy to have you... oh, and I WAS just teasing again about the snotty comment... I did have to wait 12 weeks, but I'm really a nice guy. )

Lots of change; that's pretty much all that was left in my bank account! To answer your actual question, yes, the D2v is pretty awesome, both in functionality and in quality.

I meant the coffee money down the back of the couch you ate.

Sorry. I was too excited by the unexpected audio-related turn of the thread to read the question properly!

Sometimes the audio related stuff on the threads does get a little distracting.

I had a 4 week wait for my factory outlet purchase of my m80s, vp150, QS8s and ep500. I got my receiver a couple of weeks before my speakers so I connected it and ran speaker wire ect. I took off work at lunch to go to the DHL center and pick up my speakers. It took my two trips (had to come back for the ep500), but I got it all home in my jeep cherokee!
Good luck on finding ways to kill time!

The wait is a killer, but the permagrin after installation makes it more than worth the wait.
You could always keep yourself busy by cleaning the nose prints off the front window.

I had a 3 1/2 week wait. When the DAY arrived, my wife called me at work and said "Theey're Heeere". I got sick at work and rushed home to recuperate. I opened the garage door and there they were.....I counted and said "waaaiit - is this all?" One QS8 box was missing. I called Axiom immediately and they said it was not unusual for the shipment to get separated across a couple of days. Not to be deterred, I set it up using one of my old Polk M3 surrounds in place of the QS8 - which showed up the next day......but I am sure you have nothing to worry about.....

My wife keeps laughing at me. "Your like a little kid" she says. There is a few things that I need to do before the speakers get here. 1. Mount the TV on the wall. DONE 2. Organize and make new speaker cables. Not sure what I will do yet as there are a lot of different kinds of DIY cable that could be made. I like the cables that are covered with the techflex sleaving, but still there is CAT5 cables, Primary wire cables, so on and so on. 3. Possible run some wires inside the walls. This depends what I choose for type of cables that I will use. 4. Thinking of taking my 20 year old Energy speakers (still sound good) and build new smaller speaker cabinets for them and use them for rear L/R in 5.1 setup.

Mine are supposed to be here Thursday, but snow all last weekend and snow predicted for next weekend. I have to re-route some speaker cables and fish walls, back and forth underneath the house for the fronts. I dunno, maybe a few wires hanging across the walls for a week or two? With splices in the temporary wires! All my gear is in a rack, 40 ft as the crow, 75' runs, so nuttin is easy.
Yeah thats it!

The magics word will soon say "ON VEHICULE FOR DELIVERY"... Unless it is UPS and then it will say "OUT FOR DELIVERY" which I find less poetic.

I hope you will have them before it changes to "succesfully delivered", otherwise they went to the wrong house!

I have both the 60's and the 150. I think you'll be pleased. Most folks drop out of contact for a couple of days as they rediscover their CD's and DVD's. I know I did.

Ok, plugged it all in. AMAZING!! Highs are great, not shrilling (is that a word?)at all. Nice mids. A little lacking in the base for my taste, but heck that can be made up with the sub eh. Listened to Sting, Ten Summoners Tail. Very nice. Track 17 they play an egg that I haven't noticed before. Hoo-eh to Axiom

Have one already. Its an 8" Energy. Nice and punchy. I will be saving up for a 12" and run both subs. The one for the punchyness and the other for the very low freqs. Tonight will be GI-Joe on blueray.

Your receiver settings make a big difference in how your speakers sound. (Nothing new here, and you probably already knew that.) But I just wanted you to know how I have mine set for music. Straight stereo mode, without any stereo front stage enhancements. Sound enhancement for lossy music sources on, called sound retriever on mine. Equalizer on (after running auto setup). Tone control on, adjusting bass and treble differently depending on CD. Everything else off.
