They were pretty damned good un-aged as I recall.

Watched Eric Clapton's latest Blu Ray release - 'Planes, Trains and Eric'.

It is part documentary plus concert tracks taken from his Spring 2014 Mid & Far East Tour.

The concert music is spectacularly recorded that made my EP800s work at times - wonderful full sound. The numerous interviews provide a good overview of life on tour when his entourage is getting older. It seems that despite a life of luxury, it is often a drag now, but it is the musical performances that are paramount.

Interestingly, the excellent last track (audio only during the ending credits) 'High Time' was written by Joe Cocker.

Recommended for EC fans...

Along with my EC Blu Ray reviewed above, I also purchased Carlos Santana's latest live concert (BD + CD combo) - 'Corazon live from Mexico - Live it to Believe It' - performed about a year ago in Guadalajara.

Fabulous sound with lots of deep, dynamic latin percussion that give a sound system a good workout. While I really like his classic stuff, this concert features a lot of guest appearances from local performers that are unknown to me. Hence, about a quarter of the tracks deserve skipping - but that is just me.

For the tunes that I gravitate to, this has an overall impressive sound with excellent performances from a large entourage of musicians on stage.

Worth it for Carlos fans...

Watched guardians of the galaxy today. Christmas gift in 3D. First time I gave 3D a serious try. Pretty fun movie. Having watched it in 3D I'm not sure it would be as enjoyable in 2D.

Have to revisit once surround setup is back. Sooo many bass sweeps await.

Making my way through Black Mirror on Netflix after an online friend recommended it. Each episode is a self-contained bit of decently-written speculative fiction. Darker subject matter. I was surprised by the visual effects. While there's not an overwhelming amount, what's there is well-done. Worth checking out.

Nick Offerman: American Ham on Netflix was good. He's certainly found his niche.

I just about walked out if Walmart with each Transformers blu-ray movie. 1,2&3 were $4.47 each and the newest $9.98.
Too soon. Pretty decent prices though.
Have to go back and take a better look around.

Did come home with Rush, $6.47.
