Finally trying out The Sopranos since it's on Amazon Prime Video now. Not bad so far.

I was hoping they would have The Wire in HD, too, but it's only SD. I guess they still haven't remastered for a potential Blu-ray release. I have the DVDs, too, so I can always re-watch the series that way, but I got excited for potentially seeing it in HD.

If you don't like the Sopranos, we can't be friends.

I had JUST started watching "Deadwood" via Netflix discs and I saw Amazon's announcement they added HBO programming. Pretty stoked.

Been wanting to watch "Sopranos" for quite some time.

I'm liking it so far. About 2/3 of the way through the third episode. I would have been further, but my internet connection was giving me grief last night. I think it was sympathy pain for Chris's computer.

We started over tonight. I was a little surprised how dense even the pilot was.

Ian Mcshane is freaking incredible in deadwood. The bad guy you hate and love at the same time. Great dialogue! Love it.

Totally agree! Ian Mcshane does a great job. Love characters like that, so much better than a plain "bad guy."

It took a bit to adjust to the dialogue, but once you key in on it, it's very well written.

I finished watching the last hour of 'Gettysburg' Blu Ray last night.

The final battle scene was brutally realistic & extraordinarily well filmed. The sequential firing of a long line of cannons was breathtaking that would be really imposing on bigger HT gear. It certainly spoke with authority on my modest system - very impressive both visually & aurally.

The final charge of General Lee's Confederates across open fields into the Federal fortified lines was brutal to watch. This film essentially captured the complete insanity of it all - 53000 casualties in a couple of days.

For me, the cast of thousands of Re-enactors were really the stars of this movie. They were simply outstanding in portraying the nature of the battlefield in those days...

Watched Olympus has Fallen and would totally disagree with the bad reviews.
I liked it, a lot, and will be purchasing it for my once a year collection.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Decent. Some good moments, but overall not sure if I loved the story enough. Still liked it better than First Class.
