Watched Kick Ass last night and I really enjoyed it, It's like a mix of Sky high and Kill Bill.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

I watched Notes on a Scandal tonight. Judi Dench was captivating. The movie was really good but didn't leave me with any kind of good feelings. Which is fine, because it's nice to not always be left with a happy ending.

Working on Scrapped Princess. My friend tried to get me to watch it a number of years ago, but it didn't really grab me. My sister watched it recently and said she liked it, so I thought I'd give it another shot. I wouldn't say it's amazing yet, but I'm interested enough to keep watching. I do like the fact that it's called Scrapped Princess.

I thought that “Scrapped Princess” was an excellent anime and would give it 4/5 stars or an A- and rank it among one of my favorite anime. Seems from reading your posts over time that my anime tastes are more similar to your sister’s than yours.

Oh, she's loved enough of the same series as me. I wouldn't say I'm too far off from her, though she tends to do more manga reading than anime watching.

Meaning that sometimes I watch anime based on her liking the manga, and it's not always the perfect translation.

Seriously?

Dude, I'm out of the office, on vacation for a few days, and I STILL couldn't let that one go....

Today I went to see "The Expendables" with my son. The plot was pretty lame - but seeing all of the old action stars of the 80s and 90s was great. The gunfire and explosions sounded incredible (my ears are still ringing).

This movie is going to sound fantastic on the Axiom system when it comes out on Bluray.

Friday Night Lights

I finally got around to watching the movie. You can certainly tell where a lot of the TV show came from, but Billy Bob Thornton is no Kyle Chandler, and Connie Britton having a much meatier role in the series helps a lot. Overall, I'd say the movie was decent, but I'd definitely recommend the series in its place.

Burn after Reading. That movie is strange enough to be based on reality.
