Hey Guys,
Any Axiom owners using SLB for M22's? My installation will not accommodate the Full Metal Bracket, but can accept the more compact Sturdy Little Bracket.
Thanks in advance...

In the product description it says:
"Axiom's Sturdy Little Bracket is engineered with steel frame construction and made to handle speakers weighing up to 60 lbs.* Easily affixable to the bolt on the back of Axiom's compact speakers, centers, and the outdoor Algonquins, the Sturdy Little Bracket can be tilted up or down and locked off in position with the supplied bolts. It even allows for horizontal mounting of Axiom's loudspeakers - just turn the speakers and lock them into place."
The bracket will hold up to 60lbs. There should be no problem whatsoever using it with the M22.

The main problem with M22s and brackets is the height of the speaker. If you need to angle it down a lot, the bottom of the speaker touches the wall very quickly (I have that problem with the full metal bracket).
Will you need to angle the speaker up or down?

Eric, An easy way to simply correct this situation is to install on the wall a wooden bearing plate/block which will act as a shim and then screw the Axiom FMB or Sturdy Little Bracket to it. I does not take a thick shim to increase the tilt down angle, if needed.

You're right! It could actually be made to look good if someone is good with tools.

My application will be three horizontally mounted M22's (l/c/r). They will be attached about 5.5 inches from the ceiling and angled downwards towards the viewing position. The built in wall unit in the basement that houses the Hifi equipement is 17 feet wide and has left and right angled recesses that are 2.5 feet long angled towards the central viewing position.
Thanks for your help guys.

I think Jc is right on. The standard bracket is meant to mount flat on a vertical surface, and is brilliantly designed to do just that. It is not designed to take weight on the tabs or bracket in an off vertical orientation.

M22 owners,
Could someone please provide specs on the distance from the thread on the M22's to the speaker binding posts. Also the thread on the M22's appears dead centre on the speaker. Is this right?
Thanks in advance.

I does not take a thick shim to increase the tilt down angle, if needed. I used 3/4" plastic stand-offs between the wall and the bracket on the top two screws. This creates a nice ~10deg angle. A bit hard to tell from the pic, except the vertical lines on the QS8's are not parallel to the other vertical lines in the room. Click on MyHT and see the 3rd and 4th pics. Scott

Hi wbedford,
The bolt is 10" fom the bottom of the speaker (almost dead center); 6" above the outside edge of the binding posts bucket and 5.5" below the edge of the rear port.
