This might have been done before, or perhaps discussed before my time here. Regardless, what do you think about including a sheet of perforated/cut cards similar to the following with each speaker order? The sheet would look something like this on one side: and each card could have this on the other side: I note that I should have left the new customer name and audition dates blank on three of those cards, to better show the concept. Oops. The customer's name and the speaker model information would be preprinted on the card, and the name of person who received the audition could later be written on the card, along with the date of the audition. Redeem the card within 30 (?) days along with an order for new speakers and get some kind of (admittedly inexpensive) Axiom promo item. The new customer gets a little schwag, and existing customers get proof of an audition being held, and the reward that comes with that. Plus, the new customer *perceives* that Axiom treats and values its customers just as well as we existing customers *know* that they do. Just an idea. To be adopted or ignored at your discretion.

Cool.
I like incentivizing the new customer for alerting Axiom about the person who gave him/her the audition. Costs $, though.
Instead of assuming more time/cost for personalized production, Axiom could just publish a PDF template somewhere that conforms to common Avery forms (for business cards?) or something. Could even have a full-page version (for ease of printing) that includes more information ("submit this form or mention it when you order and receive xyz").
Great idea, and nice work!

you can call and mention that you've provided an audition, if the buyer does not mention it up front.

You can do that? I have missed out on several auditions that led to purchases, all well, I still had fun doing the auditions anyway.

Great idea - thanks very much for thinking of that! I really like it!
Yes, we give the audition host a 5% credit in Axiom Dollars for hosting the audition - people are usually good about telling us but of course we know for sure.

Hi, Until Axiom develops an easier way to report an audition you can always use as a guide the form on "Hearing Things" Axiom Auditon Club Report and email it to me jc@axiomaudio.com

Well there you go. However, I would suggest that you ask the person's permission before you send Axiom phone numbers, address, their other interest in other products.
While maybe not illegal or even truly harmful, I would be a bit miffed if I went to a private person's home for an audition and they sent all of my contact information to the reseller without asking me first.

wow, never knew that existed, thanks. Me either. I've done 2 auditions, but have no idea if they ever turned into a purchase or not, and I don't have any of the information anymore. Having that form as a guide will be good.

I should fix an error but it's too late to edit. Axiom is not a "re"seller. They produce and sell their own products. Just the wrong word I realized but just in case they were insulted. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone.
If nothing else, this has pointed out that even the loyal regulars weren't aware of certain procedures and documents that are available, so it's probably good that these have been discussed.
Personally I have yet to give even a single "real" audition (friends and family, though rightfully impressed, unfortunately don't count), but I have come close a few times. They seem to have all collapsed at the 11th hour for various reasons. Just my luck, I guess.

I've done two auditions, both of whom purchased. I got a gift certificate for one, but not for the other.

If those guys had PMS, I'd think they would be easy to remember!

Nothing is a derailment in this forum. JP's ADD diagnosis is an entrance requirement before you get a permanent login account.

I've always wondered if Axiom keeps a running tally of credits and of course, if it expires.
We've had folks over to audition speakers in the past (forum names include BruceH, Jordan) plus one or two others that we know purchased products, but frankly i don't recall how much credit i may have received.
I think in one or two occurrences i got an email from Axiom noting some credit, which i probably saved, but still, i haven't' tallied anything, don't know if they still know, or if that credit has an expiry.

I was surprised with a wonderful e-mail this morning by the person that bought my Sony HTIB several months ago. I'd like to post the part pertaining to his (unplanned) Axiom audition, but probably should get his permission first.

Here's the quote I spoke of in the previous message ^^^. Given with permission.
"Speaking of which; have you had any response on these items? I wouldn't be surprised if you have not. As great as these products are I don't think very many people are aware of this line. What a shame, too. Being a person that does not impress very easily, I can tell you I found your Axioms to be some of the best drivers I have heard in a very long time. In fact, I have been telling everyone I come into contact with about them. Most just look at me with sort of a confused and disbelieving stare. It amazes me how so many people don't appreciate quality sound reproduction, and don't know great from mediocre. It seems to me that most people believe that the average $200 to $300 all-in-one-box noise maker is the epitome when it comes to putting either tunes or a soundtrack out into the atmosphere for us to enjoy - well in that scenario maybe not so much. You have no idea how many times I will be attempting to explain the quality of sound the Axioms produced and I get this, "Where they really loud?" Morons. If someone ever puts an 11 on a volume dial they are almost certain to make a fortune because we all know 11 is better than 10."
